I’ve pondered often about the digital marketing success that was the Barbie Movie.

I ask myself… was it all worth it? They spent $150 Million on marketing, yet the most successful aspect of Barbie’s marketing campaign wasn’t anything to do with the marketers - it was to do with their fans, and the social proof movement they started.

Then I ask myself, did Barbie Buy Social Proof?
